Yen assaulting Dollar in early trading:

Will carry trades unwind? Looks like a turbulent day ahead on Monday. Hold on to your hats.

Comment from those more in the know are sincerely appreciated. :D

5. From Investopedia.com;
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/c/currencycarrytrade.asp

A strategy in which an investor sells a certain currency with a relatively low interest rate and uses the funds to purchase a different currency yielding a higher interest rate. A trader using this strategy attempts to capture the difference between the rates - which can often be substantial, depending on the amount of leverage the investor chooses to use.

4. Anybody know what reports are due out this week?
Consumer confidence, anything like that? Frankly if we have another set of reports like we had last week, along with a dropping dollar and rising oil prices, this coming week could very well be hell on wheels.

Frankly I don't think that even the PPT can prevent a major crash. And whatever prompted the SEC to remove controls from computer trading, I just can't fathom. What, they want to see a thousand point drop in a day, every day?

I'm so glad that I haven't re invested my retirement yet. I'm going to wait for the market to even out at this point, and buy when it bottoms out.
