Who does the cooking at the Bush ranch? When he bugs out for the

1. Well of course someone else is inconvenienced because the
boy who would be king doesn't think about anyone else.

I wouldn't be surprised if the folks serving him are not legally in America...if you know what I mean...wink...wink.

7. To be sure, but there are ways to ensure that the smallest number
possible have to work the holiday. There is also the question of what happens after the shift. For example, a secret service agent with family in Washington can go home at the end of the shift if Bush is in the White House. Down at he ranch, the agent gets to go back to a hotel room.

5. that is one of my favorite inteviews ever!
Q: The recipes in your new book, "The Bush Family Cookbook," are surprisingly fattening. The Bush family recipe for mixed-vegetable casserole, for instance, combines frozen peas and green beans with three cups of mayonnaise and heavy cream. Isn't that unhealthful?

Only if you eat the whole dish. This is for how many people?

Q: According to the recipe, it serves eight.

There you go!

Q: I guess you see the current president and the rest of the Bush clan mostly in Maine. Do you have to get up at midnight if someone wants a sundae?

Mrs. Bush doesn't like midnight snacks. After dinner, nobody should go back to the kitchen until the next morning for breakfast. After dessert, the kitchen is secured. She is strict about that.

***
Q: And when Bush was president and traveled overseas, did you ever worry that he would be poisoned?

No. Our guys will be in the kitchen, watching the preparation. It's our guys who pick up the plate and serve the food to the president without anyone else touching it.

Q: What about his drinks?

When he asks for a vodka on the rocks, it's our guys who mix it from our own supply that we have to bring all the way around the world with us. Nobody knows that.

6. and here, from The Scotsman, is his entourage
This was for a G-8 summit:

Bush's entourage does indeed seem a trifle heavy and expensive. From The Scotsman, concerning the recent G8 summit in Scotland "The President himself, meanwhile, will arrive today with a vast entourage of armed guards and armoured vehicles more akin to a military operation than a friendly tour. Hundreds of US government staff will join their leader for his visit, including some 250 secret service agents, 200 officials from various US government departments, 150 national security advisers and 50 White House aides. Amongst the bodyguards will be secret agents who have agreed to stand in the line of fire in the event of any assassination attempt, while others will mingle with crowds and observe from rooftops.

There will also be 15 sniffer dogs and five cooks, including one personal chef on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week to cater for the President - since anything he eats has to be strictly monitored to protect against poisoning.

His transport for the trip includes two identical Boeing 747-200s, one chartered jumbo jet, a US Marine Sea King helicopter and a Black Hawk helicopter. And that is just when he is airborne. Once on the ground, he will be transported in his armoured Cadillac de Ville, code-named "Stagecoach", flanked by one of two identical motorcades including around 20 other armoured vehicles, including "spook carriers", a military ambulance, a communications van and "war wagons".
