This Monday: Bush to Meet with Gore
As they say in the horror movies, "I got a bad feeling about this."

http://weblogs.chicagotribune.com/news/politics/blog/2007/11/bush_to_host_middle_east_summi.html

Bush will hold individual meetings with Ehud Olmert, the prime minister of Israel, and Mahmoud Abbas, president of the Palestinian Authority, at the White House on Monday. Bush will play host to each leader indiviually in the Oval Office – with meetings that are likely to overshadow the pre-scheduled appearances of this year's American winners of the Nobel Prize on Monday, including former Vice President Al Gore, who narrowly lost the White House to Bush in 2000.

Olmert arrives at the White House late Monday morning, Abbas early in the afternoon, Gore and company following close behind them, the White House announced this evening.

The meeting with Gore and fellow Nobel Laureates is billed as “a photo opportunity.''

How will The faker-in-chief try to upstage Mr. Gore? Is the plan to let the meetings with Olmert and Abbas take over the media coverage? I suppose little man could act like an adult but why start now?

1. If Gore had Balls
He would come out to the media and say "I was robbed, I won the election and they stole it"

And speaking truth to power is courageous class.

12. That would take away from the other Prize winners, and I don't think Gore
would chance that.

18. As am I (still pissed) but saying that to Bush wouldn't get our democracy back.
It'd sure feel good, though.

24. True, but being polite is not respected by their prison mentality. Hasn't worked well
They are bullies and cowards and need to be stood up to. Look em in the eye and say it out.

9. if he had the balls he wouldn't meet w/the fuckhead or give him the
opportunity to get his picture taken with the real president.

if al is so busy w/environmental projects doesn't he have anything better to do than to get his picture taken with that liar, dimwit, piece of fucking crap squatting in the white house?

hey al! you got better things to do than run for president?? like what? getting your pic taken with george?

if he meets w/the bush i'm gonna lose some respect for him--i swear!

11. Gore has more balls than a Beijing marble factory.
However he handles this upcoming meeting, I have no doubt
that it will paint a clear picture of a wise & thoughtful
man taking a few hours out of his day to TOLERATE the antics
of a poorly-disciplined & emotionally crippled CHILD.

B*sh will find a way to embarrass himself while Mr. Gore
stands silently nearby like a real grownup statesman-guy.

23. You do know that the president meeting the laureates is tradition, right?
To be perfectly honest I was surprised that Dubya would do it this year. He's let Cheney do the deed before.

As for Mr. Gore, you want a hero? Be your own hero. You live through the crap that man has lived through and then come back and tell me how jumping again into the shark-infested waters is your duty.

2. Gore will meet with Olmert and Abbas and negotiate a peace agreement.
Then the Supreme Court will vote 5-4 to give Chimp credit for it.

10. "...who narrowly lost the White House to Bush in 2000."
I guess 'narrowly lost', could mean the SCOTUS decision. I'm sure they mean Bush won Florida fair and square.

7. "Al Gore, who narrowly lost the White House to Bush in 2000" Yeah, 5-4!
After winning the voting fair and square, even after all the R's cheating and illegal voter purging.

We love you, President Gore!

Oh... he isn't just because he has a picture taken with him? Perhaps Bush will say something nice about him and THEN he will be a corporatist hack, right?
