1. Taking stock in America
The chart is easily explainable.

Trading a foreign currency for a US dollar is "taking stock in America".

Would you buy stock in a company which was run like the USA?

3. inflation
Sure, you may get your $1500 a month under SS, but it's not going to do you much good if it only buys $100 worth of goods and services. Maybe this is Bush's only alternative if he really wants to destroy SS.
