And I agree about the Ron Paul thing, what is that all about? This is the DEMOCRATIC Underground, I am here because I am a DEMOCRAT with a capitol "D" not because I have an "open mind" which well I have to admit is pretty closed right now about Republicans. or Independents (Ids. always seems well, like a bunch of middle class white men who really do not have a clue about anybody but themselves and think everyone wants to live like them). I can go to other "open minded" sites for that. I *like* partisan.

As for your girlfriend. She is what the Dems are all about IMO. We NEED stem cell research and I do hope they have found something that takes all the kooks out of the equation and back in the clinic where it belongs. I am raising my grand niece who was HIV and Hep C exposed at birth. She did not ask for this and no free market company gives a rat's ass about her more than they do making their precious billions, while at least the government will pretend to care since she is at the very least perhaps a future financial burden should she come up with AIDS or need a liver transplant later on in life (she is HIV and HepC free at this time, but no one knows her future because no one knows what happens to kids like her yet).

Well I DO care about her (and now your girlfriend) way more than those stoopid billions so prized by people like Ron Paul. I would not trade this little one for ANY of some greedy billionaire's filthy money. She is my light and my life. She makes me smile every day, AND she has brought light and hope to all who know her, including her father (unrelated to me) who is in prison and working hard to become a decent citizen because his daughter is his inspiration. She is precious, more precious than those cold hard billions I would burn in a minute if it meant someone would save ONE life. Now take her and your girlfriend and multiply them by millions. Those of us who love these millions of EXISTING HUMAN BEINGS do not have much to go on BUT the hope that Democrats will come through and put aside the nonsense of caring more about a few cells than people who are already on this earth.

I am glad Mr Paul is against the war. But hells bells, a great deal more is happening in the world that also needs attention and defending some NON-DEMOCRATIC middle class man who is also a kook that thinks MONEY is more important than PEOPLE looks just plain ridiculous to someone like me!
