CIA Chief to testify in CLOSED DOOR hearing...
hey, if torture works so well, let's have an open door discussion of our techniques and successes

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The CIA director will face two days of questioning by the House and Senate intelligence committees in a probe into the agency's destruction of videotapes showing interrogation techniques used on terror suspects, panel leaders said.

2. So that more of our war criminals can deny we commit war crimes?
CLOSED DOOR? The stink is detectable across the planet. We are a nation of war criminals. The doors, the windows, the files, oh those millions of files, need to be exposed to the light of day. What we need is Truth and Reconciliation. Open the damn doors. Grow a fucking spine.

3. I would think that would be standard procedure
How do you discuss covert actions openly without destroying those actions?

6. "covert actions" do not cover "torture"
Edited on Tue Dec-11-07 10:56 AM by endarkenment
Interrogation techniques, that wonderful euphemism for torture, are not 'covert actions' and using the umbrella os state secrecy to cover up war crimes is itself a crime.

edited grammar blunder

7. The question isn't whether or not the crime should be covered up
I would think we would be in agreement about that; the question is whether or not such proceedings designed to uncover the truth in a covert action should be public.

8. You keep claiming that torturing prisoners is a ' covert action'.
No it is not. It is just a secret that the government wishes to keep secret as it is felonious.

As we were torturing our own prisoners, calling this crap a 'covert action' is nonsense and is simply a pathetic attempt to avoid the obvious criminal liability.
