Anyone know why the number of signatures went *down* on Wexler's petition site?

Anyone know why the number of signatures went *down* on Wexler's petition site?

I looked at it when I started doing the ERD news tonight, and it was over 90K (well, I *thought* - I certainly remarked to my husband that they'd probably make 100K overnight) and going up.

I just now looked at it and it had dropped to 84K and change, then started going up from there. I don't *think* I'm going crazy....

Anyone know an explanation for this? Are they trying to weed out dupes or something?

1. Could be weeding out dupes and obviously fake names..
I saw on some other sites where people were bragging about signing the petition with names like "Ima Doper" or "Ura Douchebag" and such...

They're probably weeding them out so they only have legitimate names...

Just *my* 2 cents worth...
