I was hoping to draw attention to the fact that the US court martialed a rape victim and threw them in jail during the rape investigation for refusing to return to Iraq, where she was raped and received no support from her chain of command.

"honor" killings are known and growing. She seems a natural candidate for such treatments. The only real hope for her is to flee the country and that isn't likely going to be allowed.
