Will FISA Provide The Confrontation To Drive Bush From Office?

The current FISA law is supposed to expire in February. If Senator Dodd is successful in removing the immunity provision from the version of the law that is now in the Senate and it goes forward to the President's desk a veto is promised. That would mean that there will be no authority at all for Bush to do any tapping. Everyone from Bush right down to the technician who installed the wires and the telecom companies who collude with them will be in violation of some very large number of laws. It will simply be bald face illegal, what one would call a "high crime".

Seriously though, I honestly do believe that nothing will happen. It's obvious that the majority of Dems are either co-opted, blackmailed or brainwashed. If they haven't done anything so far, they aren't going to do anything about this latest illegality by the Admin.
