My Brother-in-law is done with basic and almost done with his AIT training in Georgia

He is learning Sattalite communications training.

Thinks he will be sent to Germany.

I am so scared he will end up in the desert.

He is coming home Thursday for 15 days

1. Germany is a great place to be stationed. I was stationed there
from 1989-1991. With a quick detour to the Gulf in February, 1991. I'll pray that he doesn't get sent into Baby Bush's Boondoggle.

2. Is he in for 4 or 6 years?
If he qualifies for advanced schooling, the greater his chances of staying out of the Bad Place.

Why the hell did he decide to enlist?

19. I had a five year enlistment
because of the top secret clearance my MOS required. They didn't offer it for four years.

23. BUT that job doesn't always mean being out
in the field. He spent a lot of time (so he tells me) behind a computer while others
went out to check the "lines of communication", so Germany sounds good too. ;)
