Who owns the oil in Iraq now?
I have googled and found older articles, but nothing too current. I ask because a neo-con on another board cites increased oil production in Iraq as a sign that the "surge" aka: escalation is working. Funny he would use that as proof, since this war was never about oil. :eyes:

Does anyone have a link that shows the current ownership of the Iraqi oil fields, or the contracts to sell the oil since the invasion?

i would like to know why gas prices were $1.59 when bush took office and now there over $3.00?

8. Think it was Rummy who cheerfully said the rebuilding of Iraq would be paid for with oil sales.
This may come as news to the people there who are still without electricity and running water.
