Policy wise, I don't believe that there'd be much difference between Clinton, Edwards or Obama. I don't think that Clinton is the boogeywoman she's largely viewed as here at DU. A Clinton presidency wouldn't be bush lite or continue down the road to fascism. It would be Clinton redux with a more liberal social policy.
I believe the differences would come in what they can get done and on priorities.
But, the thought of 4 to 8 years of the Clintons in the White House is chilling: Non-stop hate fest and battle royale over everything, from the flowers to the Supreme Court. Hate from the right, hate from the left. And scandals, real or manufactured: Lincoln bedroom, andyone? Is Bill cheating? In addition, I think Clinton has more to "prove" than the others, and that concerns me. The repukes would be no less dedicated to taking her down than they were regarding Bill. Furthermore, I'm tired of Clintonian politics and endless triangulating. This isn't the time for it. And it won't work.
I believe Obama is tougher than many give him credit for and that JE's conversion is largely real- though he will work with corporations, and I also believe that the press would give both of them a grace period- particularly Obama.
So, no offense Clinton supporters, but I hope she loses big time in Iowa, NH, SC and NV.
