Vernon Jordan on Bloomberg TV's In Focus Segment Right Now, Discussing Hillary
Edited on Tue Jan-01-08 01:20 PM by CorpGovActivist
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vernon_Jordan">Vernon Jordan - close advisor to President Clinton - is on Bloomberg TV's In Focus program right now.

According to the NY Times on October 1, 2003:

"Vernon E. Jordan Jr. will not be reimbursed for most of his legal bills from the investigation of President Bill Clinton's relationship with Monica Lewinsky. Mr. Jordan, left, had asked the government to pay $302,719. But the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit said he was entitled to only $1,215 and dismissed his assertion that he was singled out because he was a prominent lawyer and friend of the president."

He's discussing his endorsement of Hillary now.

These segments are often archived and available on the Bloomberg TV site within a day or so.

1. Judy Woodruff Asked Jordan: "You are both a Director and a Partner at Lazard Freres..."
... "how is Corporate America seen?"

Vernon's answer: "It's been my experience that there is always a crisis of some kind in some part of the industry, and what happens is that the judgment by the general public - aided by the media - is the assumption is that if one apple is bad, that the barrel is bad. That has not been my experience."

"I am his friend."

"We played golf together this summer at Martha's Vineyard. The week before I played with President Clinton, the week after I played with him."

"We had a huge, huge session at my house in Washington in last November where he told me what he was gonna do and I told him based on what he was gonna do what I was gonna do, and essentially said to him I respected him, understood what he was doing, but that I would be for Hillary."
