I just cancelled my E-Mails from John Kerry and the DSCC..

I feel a great burden is gone by doing that.

John Kerry is a find man. He was a hero in exposing what was going on in Vietnam...and he has served his country greatly by exposing BCCI Fraud involving the Bushies and their other Criminal Enablers...BUT..I after thinking about it...his dissing John Edwards was just too much for me.

Disclosure here: I really didn't think Kerry worked hard enough in '04...he got the message wrong about how dangerous Bush was and decided to counter what "he saw" as Bush Macho (Mano a' Mano) by windsurfing, biking in gear many Americans couldn't afford and dressing up in hunting gear for photo ops. He should have known voting machine problems were out there and he NEVER DEFENDED AL GORE in "STOLEN ELECTION, 2000!" He is a prisoner of the OLD DEM PARTY.... But...I felt he was a sell out by what I now feel was knifing Edwards in the Back in his BIRTH PLACE of SC.

Maybe Kerry's "vision" of altruism is so pure that he like Gary Hart and other wizened Dems think that OBAMA will lead the Party into the Promised Land...and be the "Inclusion Party" we Dems always have worked towards....but there just an element of revenge and pandering that bothers me...about my Democratic Party revealed here...in this endorsement. And...there's a smarmy stench to it...and maybe I'm just a purist...but it bothers me.

I'm glad I made the effort to SIGN OFF on any more Kerry and DSCC cheerleading e-mails which ALWAYS ASKED FOR MONEY, ANYWAY!

Just had to vent...take it for what you will...

I think I cancelled his emails a long time ago. I am quite happy enough that he did not endorse Hillary. He's not so much dissing Edwards as he is jumping on a bandwagon. He too, sees it as, unfortunately, a two person race.

I think you have a couple of typos that need to be fixed.

And yes, I did the same thing after getting Kerry's E-mail. I followed up by sending a message to him telling him I was very disappointed in his decisions - the one back in 2004 when every vote didn't count, and the one to endorse Obama today.

I reminded him of a statement he once made:

"My friends, the harsh fact now is that in the last election more than one million African-Americans were disenfranchised in one of the most tainted elections in history. We can do better - and we have to. We have to see to it in November that every vote counts - and every vote is counted."

He didn't keep his word. He threw us to the wolves for 4 more years. Shame on John Kerry. I supported him, donated to his campaign, voted for him. And what did he do for me? Nothing.

My worst nightmare is that we end up with a Dem president who operates the same way as the Vichy Dems in Congress. Kerry is endorsing Obama because they want to promote the Beltway Dem Insiders, the same crew that has been such a colossal failure since 2006.

He did it to f^ck up Edwards campaign and to Hilary because he thinks she was hoping they didnt win in 2004 because her shot at 2008 goes if they did. So he's left with Obama.

So i gnuinely think this is a f^ck you endorsement rather than anything else.

I also find it strange that it was arranged for today, it seems a little too set up to be like a coronation passover torch speech, i think it was designed with a win in NH in mind.

21. I was one of tthose old "Give to Dean" folks who sent my checks with the .01 added on

to the contribution to signify that I supported Dean for DNC Chair. It was a movement here on DU and elsewhere to make the "check counters" for DNC know that adding the .01 Cent...would cause them extra work...but it was PROGRESSIVES FOR DEAN!

Every CHECK I sent them had .01 Cent...on it.

But...while I still support Dean as DNC CHAIR...I know his time is limited. He did the VERY BEST HE COULD when faced with PELOSI AND REID and the DLC and the REST of them.

BUT...I'm proud and feel good about that GREAT MOVEMENT for the "1 CENT SUPPORT!" It was a GOOD MOMENT in ACTIVISM...and I think it kept Dean in...before the next Jackals eat his haunches for breakfast..that is. :-(

I unsubscribed to Kerry list too, but it was with sadness. I was a true blue Kerry supporter-- started supporting him in 2003 and was even a delegate in Boston.

I support Clinton, but his disloyalty to his VP candidate was too much for me. I also do not like that he used his huge email list to try to get money for Obama. I collected thousands of those names which makes me feel a little sick.

I still share Kerry's ideals, but misjudged his character.

24. I know....I didn't do it without thinking all day about it...but

it seemed more and more his e-mails were about "Fund Raising" and not Process or Fundamental Progressive vs. DLC Policies. I got alot of SOUNDBYTES from Kerry's e-mails ...like "Get 'em" ...Time is Up" ...ACT NOW! ..yet NONE OF IT focused on what was going on with Senate or House Hearings against BUSH CRIMES.

Even my normal DNC/DLC e-mails seemed to focus on Fund Raising and UNIITY over INVESTIGATION AND ACCOUNTABILITY.

I just couldn't take it any more when Kerry did this. And...again...I think that it's not that Kerry is "part of the BFEE" but that he's CLUELESS about what ACTIVISTS OUT HERE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO DO! He DOESN'T SUPPORT US! ...AND NEITHER DO MANY OTHER DEMS...that's what's so SAD......after all this WORK so MANY YEARS...they Don't EVEN SEE US OUT HERE? How many PETITIONS HAVE WE SIGNED? HOW MANY STREETS DID WE WALK FOR KERRY/EDWARDS... HOW MUCH GUFF DID WE TAKE FROM OUR EMPLOYERS about our POLITICS...that they HUNG US OUT TO DRY?

I walked the streets of my Town in NC working for Kerry...even though I was a Dean Supporter...with some Kucinich in my heart. I did what MY PARTY TOLD ME...for KERRY/EDWARDS...

Now..four years later...and the "bar is moved" and no RECOGNITION GIVEN? ...There's NO PAYBACK by DEMS for PROGRESSIVE ACTIVISTS...they "throw you under the Bus." :-( :cry:

Boy, that John Kerry is one unpopular guy.
Based on what we’ve read online today, there are heaps of vindictive Democrats out there who still harbor a grudge toward Senator Kerry, Democrat of Massachusetts, for not locking up the presidency in 2004. That’s not to mention the folks of both parties who consider him an out-of-touch liberal — and a man whose endorsement of Barack Obama today might be, to borrow the words of at least half a dozen contributors to The Caucus, a “kiss of death.”
