17. I was supplied with a pen for Optiscan ballots
the last time I voted here in NM. I think that's supposed to be the standard procedure. I was told not to use my own pen.

Either the staff thought the pens were premiums and weren't told that voters needed to use them, or something else is seriously rotten in the state of NH.

I never believed that 8% total for Ron Paul, not in that state full of Massachusetts tax whiners.

3. More "Bev Harris says from Brad" - driving traffic to his site - and not one word re audits being
needed as per Holt Bill - I guess Bev didn't speak to him about that.

Mandatory random audits are the only cure.

Even manual counting has "1%" errors. Seems no one wants to go back in time to when we had manual counting everywhere and note the error rate back then.

Are political junkies willfully ignorant?

To see the voting system you use, in your county, in your state go here;

Just in case someone cares to read studies regarding the various voting systems used throughout our country:

Huge New Diebold Disparities Found in Manchester, Ward 5 During NH Hand Counts
Scores of Votes Mistallied for Every Democratic Candidate...
As mentioned last night, in this disturbing article, the early results of the hand counts of one Diebold precinct in Dennis Kucinich's election contest in New Hampshire are now being posted, as they come in, at this New Hampshire SoS page.

As mentioned earlier today, NH SoS Bill Gardner told WMUR in NH that "We did nine of the 12 wards in Manchester, and a lot of the votes were exactly the same...Some went up by a vote or two." He didn't, of course, note that a lot of the vote counts (most of them) were off by 5 or more.

And now, the rest of the numbers from the rest of the Manchester wards are coming on. And get a load of Ward 5:

Diebold
Result Hand
Count
CLINTON 683 619
EDWARDS 255 217
OBAMA 404 365

All of the other candidates seem to have lost votes as well. No clue who received them instead, and must run out to tonight's Oakland screening of UNCOUNTED: The New Math of American Elections. But thought you'd want to know.

WMUR might want to know too. Since their only source seems to be whatever Gardner tells them. They can be contacted here.

There are more fresh numbers there, but we haven't yet had time to review 'em. Other than that, everything is fine with your election system. Or, as WMUR "reported" at 6pm ET today: "The continuing Democratic primary recount in New Hampshire has not found any voting problems."

9. Because brad blog has been a bit hysterical and inflamitory about this
Many of his posts make no sense if you go look at the actual information. He linked to the SOS recount page, said he didn't have time to look at it, and still went on to post about "huge" problems. Problems that turned out to be non existent. Now he is quoting and linking to a con artist.

Probably not his best day.

Like I said above. His posts are more quantity then quality this time.

14. I do not believe this ambivalence...
is a response to "Brad blog". If people had any concern about their vote counting, I doubt Brad blog's commentary would dissuade their interest, after all, it's been going on for 6 years. Either you give a damn about your vote, or you don't. Congress offers Emergency Measures that can be put in place by November, and people are more concerned with Brad Blog? Willful Ignorance.
