Contempt Citations on hold. Surprise, surprise, surprise!

Cowardice to the nth degree. I guess the leadership has never heard of multi-tasking.

Hey, Congress--want to unite the Democrats? Start doing the job of oversight of the executive branch and holding these criminals accountable. Cheese on a friggin cracker!!

4. They might get outraged at you, but that outrage
is misdirected. You are speaking the truth. They ought to be outraged at the leadership.

7. You wouldn't want to rush into this now, would you?
I figure that in about 11 months they will be ready to move forward. I fucking hate my party. I hate that other party worse, but I fucking hate my compromising spineless corrupt and stupid party. There is nothing that they appear to be willing to take an actual stand on. Bush could round us all up in the middle of the night, ship us off to those camps that they already have set up, and our congressional leadership would find any number of excuses to do nothing about that either.

They got our backs. They are walking all over them.

Democratic leaders and aides tell The Politico that pursuing the contempt citations in conjunction with the stimulus package would "step on their message" of bipartisanship.
--------------------------------------------------
"When we have the votes, we'll go ahead with this," a House Democratic insider, speaking anonymously, told Politico. "Right now, the votes are just not there."

11. Fuck those fools
Reid and Pelosi can get fucking bent. Bush has committed treason, and they are protecting Bush.

I hate Pelosi more than I hate Bush. Fuck her.

So, why do you think so many people disapprove of the job that Congress is doing?

PELOSI: Two things. First of all, I believe the war in Iraq. The public is weary of this war. They want it to end, and they had expectations that Congress could end it.

You know we can't without a presidential signature. But that focus on the war has eclipsed all that we have accomplished here.

This piece of shit we call a speaker has told us she can't end the war without the Presidents signature, I don't think she is that stupid, I believe she is a lying scumbag that has one mission...to protect the President. Fuck her.

12. Every sunrise and sunset...
...every change in the wind, every fortune-cookie fortune--each of these is another excuse for the do-nothing Congress to do nothing.
