Young uses economy as excuse to push for Alaska drilling.

Rep. Don Young (R-AK) yesterday wrote to Rep. Ed Markey (D-MA) and “said legislation to delay the sale of land in Alaska for oil and gas exploration would hinder the U.S. economy.” Young, notorious for his earmarks, said he was “disappointed” by Markey’s efforts to block oil and gas exploration in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.”It’s bewildering when you consider the fact that we are continuing to import domestic energy and it’s harming our economy,” Young claimed.

3. How about jobs in the green economy?
Oil is the excuse for everything. How about coming up with a new solution, people!

4. Importing domestic energy?
It must be just me, but last I checked "domestic" energy doesn't have to be imported.
