Has the time past for the media's use of "female suicide bomber"?

It used to be that a female doing it was out of the norm and worthy of note, but after how many of them does it no longer become worthy of mentioning? At one time no one would have thought about a newscast referring to someone as a "lady doctor," when women first were entering that profession but now, not really a big deal and therefore no gender notation mentioned when referring to a doctor.
