Many U.S. troops are on their second, third, and even fourth deployment in Iraq. Many of them have had their tours in Iraq extended. Many troops have had their enlistments extended (via stop-loss orders). Many troops have been re-deployed after just a few months state -side.
While all this is going on, Generals Franks, Shelton, Shinsecki, Abazaid, Sanchez, Batiste, Eaton, McPeak, Swannack, Newbold, Riggs, (and others) decided to retire; right smack in the middle of the war. Guess they just decided that they didn't like this war anymore, so they quit. Shouldn't "SUPPORT THE TROOPS" start with their generals?
Isn't there something wrong with this picture?
