Always the gentleman: It would be rude for Al to announce tonight
Judging from the response of Hollywood...IF Gore announced tonight during the Oscars, IT would be the only story. The accomplishments of everyone else would be overshadowed.
There is a time and place for everything.
However...I feel he is going to run.
And I can't wait until he does.
Go Al!

2. Yes, he IS a true gentleman.
And a WORLD leader ... in contrast to someone else to remain unmentioned.

3. Rude would be an understatement. It would have been HIGHLY inappropriate.
Oscar night is about the film industry.

If he wants to announce, he can do that another time and place. If he HAD done it tonight he would have LOST a lot of folks' respect.
