What I suspect:
We are using funds not allocated by Congress to fund Sunni terrorists in Iran to fight the Iranians.

Remember that bombing a few days (weeks?) ago where a Sunni group connected to al-Qaeda attacked an Iranian city? I wonder if we're helping groups like that inside of Iran.

It's my understanding that Mr. Hersch has reported we are working with the opposition in Iran, and I wonder if this is included.

This isn't that much of a jump, and in fact it seems very reasonable considering what has been reported by Hersch.

that we are doing a lot of covert work in Iran. And have been for quite a while.

It's not necessarily that we're prepping them for war, just that it's what we have all these black ops teams for, and have been using them for years. Destabilzing governments we don't like has always been a great hobby in Washington.

Right now, if it does prompt the Iranioans to do something rash and give us an excuse to bomb them into oblivion, that's just a bonus.
