If Al Gore was in the White House
No 1. we would not be at war in Iraq.
No 2. Gas prices would be down, not up because our consumption of gas would be down.
No 3. The reason gas prices would be down - Alternative energy would have been mandated by programs from the White House instead of coddling the oil companies. We most likely by now would be driving many more hybrid cars or another alternative source and the oil companies would be forced to reduce the prices just to keep people form buying the hybrids. Either way it would have been a win situation for the American people. One would have been better for the world.

1. 911 I think likely would not have happened....
He would not have ignored the warnings. Protecting our country would have been a higher priority than building huge weapon systems, and going to war over oil etc.. The war games and other distractions, Cheney's energy task force, and the PNAC would not played whatever parts they did.It may still have happened because the plans were in the works for sure. If it did we/USA would have focused on finding those responsible for it, not exploitning it in order to kill thousands of more innocent peopoe for profit. http://jarnocan.blogspot.com I have a couple related videos linked.

2. I agree. So many warnings were "ignored".

3. And if we reduce our use of oil
we hurt those governments and big companies/royal families who sponsor terrorism via their vast oil fortunes. I really think the best way to dry up terrorism is to dry up our oil consumption -- Gore would handle things politically while a side benefit of his environmental plans would take care of the rest.

4. I agree that the terrorist attacks would not have occurred on 9/11, but for other reasons
Because the "patriotic" Right Wingers would have declared war, and Osama bin Forgotten would have been watching the carnage on CNN/Faux ... and laughing his ass off ...

Faux News would be continually broadcasting as if they were in some bunker somewhere in deep red-state territory ... and every redstater would be doing the old Rush line - "America Held Hostage ... Day nnnn", like the old show that spawned Nightline and helped oust Carter by constantly reminding us that Carter's hands were tied (remember, if we would have attacked Iran, the Soviet Union would have retaliated; nowadays, we're THE superpower) ...
