Canada: February job growth much stronger than expected

Last Updated: Friday, March 7, 2008 | 11:56 AM ET Comments2Recommend35CBC News
The Canadian economy added another 43,300 jobs in February, turning in another surprisingly strong month of job gains.

Economists had been expecting only about 8,000 jobs to be created for the month.

2. Canada.....Michigan would love to be the 11th province.....
Edited on Fri Mar-07-08 12:32 PM by marmar
No border issues. Almost total control of the Great Lakes. The accents already are fairly close. And hell, half the change in our pockets is Canadian anyway.....

I even know the anthem: "Oh Canada, Our Home and Native Land. True patriot....... :)

3. Michigan almost was...
At the end of the War of 1812 most of Michigan was in Canadian hands. If it hadn't been for bad, bad negotiating on the part of the Biritish (who were still acting on Canadas behalf at the time) Michigan would be part of Canada and everything in the US West of the Ohio Valley (excluding the Southwest which was part of Mexico) would have been an aboriginal (native american) sovereign nation, officially recognized by the Brits and Canada.

and Bill of Rights. The Constitution is a contract between the state (its citizens) and the federal government. It limits its power to prevent abuse and tryanny (like now). People were fearful of Empires and dictators after the wars with Britain, France, Spain, etc.

A town called Palatine, IL in Cook County (home of Chicago) has decided they want out of that government rule. They raised their taxes to 10% and made it a "Santuary County". It is primarily Democratic (Mayor Daley in the city).

We are seeing the result of bad goverment management from both party leaders. You let in the world to your city/county...whose going to pay? You don't tax the rich and corporations...whose going to pay? No one is left to pay taxes but the middle class...and we are disappearing.

I've been suggesting that the Leafs Get "It's not whether you win or lost that counts..." printed under the ice.

9. It's not the Canadian people who are at fault any more than
ours. It's their Neo Con leaders. Remember World Order Government by the elite few (who decide our fate and goals in secret behind closed doors). We protect them and pay for it. We are not stopping it.

National Health Care. They have a surplus with us. The Queen is back in America.

We are the largest market in the world (until China and India destroy us). Yet we can't keep our own companies and jobs? What about tariffs? NAFTA sucks the blood out of us for the EU.
