I have to say though, I was a Bush hater before 2000 because I remember graduating in 1991 from college in the middle of a recession (and boy were the speakers there doom and gloom and rightly so!)
without being able to find a job for almost 6 months before I went into retail in desperation. What made it worse was Poppy Bush saying "there's NO recession"!! GRRR. I have a feeling he is just repeating words from Poppy who became VERRRY unpopular after that and lost to Clinton soon after.
