"Walk Away Plan"! A customized plan to let you walk away from your home & not owe a cent!
What a sad, sad, state of affairs. Mission accomplished, Republican party. Mission accomplished, "have a beer with" Bush.

America, Land of Opportunity. The American Dream. Walk Away.

'Estimates are that over 2,000,000 homes will go through foreclosure. We understand that each family is unique and want to assist as many families as possible navigate through what experts have predicted could be the greatest housing bust since the Great Depression.'

How we can help you:

* Provide you with a customized plan stating how long you can stay, what if any recourse the lender will have against you, tax effects and more.
* Nationwide assistance to those in all stages of a mortgages crisis.
* Your lender won't be able to collect any loss caused by you walking away.
* Your credit will be repaired and be able to purchase a house in as few as 2 years.
* You will be educated on how the laws protect you.

1. makes me mad
been paying for my home and it is 2/3 paid. I scrimp and save and have had some minor credit problems in other areas trying to keep the mortgage paid on time while I have seen it decrease in value 100K in the last six months. So, MY credit is lower for seven years and those who "walk away" get GOOD credit in two years? Very, very unfair.

3. Yes, but at least you still have a home to live in.
Yes, your equity is gone. Mine too. Along with the zillions of baby boomers, all losing their home equity just in time for their "golden years'! Yippee!!

5. yes, I tell myself that every day, too.....
at least I have a nice home and it is still 100K above what I bought it for. Guess I was just being greedy and I'm crying over spilled milk. Just glad we put our boomer money in annuities. That starts in August. And, then I can pay off those credit cards and retrieve my good credit. Boy, it has been a struggle........

2. At the point you need (or think you need) to walk away, the LAST thing you need
is to pay some outfit to advise you.. No matter what they tell you, your credit is toast..and the bank/mortgage company will take back the house, and you will be liable for whatever you signed up to be liable for..

They cannot "cure" your credit..

It's just another scam to take more of the money you don't have..

If you are in such a position, start selling your stuff or arranging for storage and just sit tight until you HAVE to leave..

and save whatever cash you can, because you will need it..

11. Between these guys and the *Send us your old gold* ads I think we
should bring back the old title of Carpetbaggers.

I made the mistake of keeping my TV on yesterday and every fifteen minutes watched some old fart telling people to send THEM ALL your gold -- even if it's gold fillings. They'll of course rush back your payment within 24 hours. :eyes:

Now the vultures are really circling the beaten down and the poor. :puke:

8. Warning: I doubt most peoples' loan paper say they can walk away.
If you have no money and no prospect of ever having any, maybe you don't care. Otherwise, read the fine print. You prolly remain liable, at least for the foreseeable future.

9. it's "only" $995! gee--maybe a mortgage payment could be made instead?
Edited on Tue Mar-11-08 05:53 AM by ima_sinnic
and credit "repaired"--yeah, right!
if it sounds too good to be true -- unfortunately, as with voting for * and buying into diet fads, Americans will sadly fall for this scam also.
