People who strill drive around with Bush/Cheney bumper stickers...
Just who ARE these people? I've even seen some Bush/Cheney '08 bumper stickers!

With our economy in shambles and poverty on the rise...

With the war that never ends claiming more lives every day...

With our environment on the brink of collapse...

Just who the hell still drives around proudly sporting their love for Bush/Cheney? And who in their right mind would want four more years of the Bushreich? What do they see in this incompetent and immoral regime that the rest of us must be missing?

My next-door neighbors.
They have W '04 bumper stickers alongside their "pro-life" ones. For them abortion is the ONLY issue that matters. I just can't get my brain around the thought process which enables them to vote for the murdering warmongers.

Only slightly outnumbered here by the "Sportsmen for Bush" stickers, which never made sense to me anyway.

9. Yeah. A block away a righty woman had a "Adam & Eve, NOT Adam & Steve" sticker
Which, in our little neck o the woods this doesn't surprise me that this mindset exists, but still strange to see anyone advertising it. I noticed the sticker didn't last long before the next time I saw her car without it!

18. By the way, on a related note...
Back in '04 when I was out campaigning for Kerry one day (just passing out flyers) one woman came up to me and screamed "baby killer!" right in my face. Then she looked at my old collie I had with me and yelled, "I ought to just kill your dog!" And she just kept yelling it over and over until a whole crowd of people stopped and stared, wondering what the hell was going on.

Never will forget THAT experience!

26. Wowzer...yeah, those authoritarians usually have a zesty delivery of their venom
We had a lot of property/auto vandalism in 04/Kerry signs/stickers ... those were the targets, not the other way around. My old beater even got key'd. Others egged, signs knocked down or stolen. Speaks volumes about the mindset of those who support the Bushites.

in an SUV drove up next to me as I was loading groceries into the back seat and screamed " I HOPE YOU BURN IN HELL YOU FUCKING COMMIE TRAITOR! YOU'RE A FUCKING COWARD"! I was about to respond when she slammed on the accelerator and sped off. I wonder who the real coward was, lol! Psychopaths are everywhere.

one of them was one of my co-workers at my last job... and one of the most gullible morons I've ever met. The other had the misfortune of buying a used car and he couldn't get the damn sticker off without damaging the bumper.

Last I heard he was planning on covering it up with another sticker.

5. I still see plenty of them
Some likely keep them on out of spite, which may shed light on why it is they were attracted to this this regime, and how the media portrayed them and their desires from the start.

Also, for some authoritarians, the more wildly belligerent their favored leaders become in turn serves to rev up their cadre's eagerness to follow over the cliff's edge.

12. I deliberately try to get in front of them so they can see my IMPEACH BUSH & CHENEY bumper sticker
Works better on highways then local roads however. A friend once reminded me (as I jockeyed into place in front of a Bush-Chaney 08 stickered car) that Florida allows people to carry guns in their cars and suggested I be a bit more subtle. Sometimes I just try to stare them down- it is a mystery to me too though, how anyone could still have a Bush-Chaney anything one on their car...

22. Subtle signs--
Edited on Tue Mar-11-08 07:32 AM by JohnnyLib2
I know two level headed, well-intentioned Republican families who bought into the God-patriotism-GWB stuff in 2000 and had that 'stuff' revived in 2004. The bumper stickers quietly disappeared in the past year.

It seems like some of the cars at our church have also lost the bumper stickers. Not all; they are around, but not as many.

Another subtle sign; I haven't seen one McCain sign in our KY town;
there are maybe 3 for Ron Paul. Go figure.

23. They are the Upside-Down People
Everything in their lives and minds is Upside-Down to reality.
Their organs kundabuffer are still functioning.
They are the people Orwell warned us about - war is peace, freedom is slavery, etc.
Their conditioning was mostly based upon ancient fairy tales, filled with contradictions, and they have not thought through the implications of living inside of those contradictions.
For the most part, they do not function beyond the reptilian parts of their brains.
The Upside-Down People would rather destroy the planet and all life on it than be shown to be wrong about anything they believe, and they will likely succeed.

Of course, there are a few people out there who know what they are doing: they support the Neo-Con agenda of destroying the functions of government and privatizing everything, and killing off as many people on the planet as possible - for profit - but those people don't tend to advertise that...

Pull up next to a Bush/Cheney-stickered vehicle and look at the driver. Whether male, female, 17 or 70, it is all the same - the pursed lips, clenched teeth, locked stare, and general unhappiness expressed in the face indicate, "I'm not getting any - can you figure out why?"

42. Honestly, no
Our primary is so darned late I never expected it to be of any importance at all. Not many delegates but it would seem even a few makes a difference this year. I still expect the state to go red come Nov because the GOP in the heavily-populated eastern panhandle is well organized and well funded. You would think that all the D.C. commuters who have moved out here for the cheap real estate would vote Dem but they are VERY neocon, unfortunately. Their sheer numbers now cancel out the heavily Dem areas like Charleston and Huntington.

56. Yeah but look at Wyoming
It was getting 27/7 coverage and they have only 12 delegates. Even with a win for Obama they were literally split in half but it was still declared a "major victory and comeback" by the Obama team.

Much like all the hoopla and spin the Hillary camp put on when they called winning the American Samoa caucus a "major victory".
