Does Mrs. Greenspan know a backstory on Spitzer?
Yesterday, Mrs. Greenspan (Andrea Mitchell) made an extremely cryptic remark regarding the Spitzer matter. I'm waiting for the transcript to post to get it exactly right, but the essence was this: It's an extremely bad time to lose the governor of New York, as he has been the point man for negotiations and discussions with the bond market, the stock market, and the feds in solving the current U.S. financial crises.

This raises all kinds of flags, coming from Mrs. Greenspan.

Did Spitzer stand in the way of someone's plan for the economy? Did Spitzer know too much about something? Was there corruption on Wall Street regarding the markets and the feds?

Yes, it's possible that Spitzer can hire a prostitute AND ALSO be the target of someone bigger.

2. I agree - and this is why Spitzer should tuff it out. The Dem party should support him
if they truly care about more than just a show of 'morality' for their own images.

Spitzer can weather this if he explains exactly WHY he shouldn't resign for the GOOD of the American people who have so few willing to challenge the manipulators of economy.

3. Well, the GOP is sure in a hurry to impeach him...
Strange, coming from a group with so many criminals on their roster.
