Do you react strongly to right-wingers, bushbots, when they say ridiculous,
fallacious, totally untrue statements?

I do. My heart pounds, my blood pressure goes up. If I were a car, you'd say I go from 0 to 70 in a split second.

It's like a knee-jerk reaction. Anybody else react like this?

3. I have to admit
that particular problem, yes. I also admit to avoiding the true right wing types and the religious sorts because I'm always tempted to try to smack some sense into them.

Oh, yeah; zionists come under that heading too. Mea culpa. I haven't been to shul in at least four years, and have no intention of going back.

4. In the old days
we could tar and feather people like that

somethings shouldn't change.

5. I usually just
roll my eyes and calmly ask if they have any facts to back up what they are saying. If they stutter, stammer, backpedal, reference their favorite RW am radio host or just plain say no, I'll then point out that they are talking out of their ass and if they are interested in the truth, I'll be happy to fork it over within 24 hours, unless I'm sitting in front of an internet connection.

6. I very calmly let them have it
I will not give them tacit agreement to racism, sexism, or class-ignorant bullshit. I just can't do it.

I can't say that it's affecting my blood pressure. What would affect it is swallowing everything I have to say to them, enough that most of them run away pretty quickly.
