Gas prices jump, oil hits $110.; Bush: "That's interesting."
NEW YORK - Gasoline and oil prices extended their record-setting streaks Wednesday, with gas at the pump reaching a new high of nearly $3.25 and crude surpassing $110 for the first time.

"Wait, what did you just say? You're predicting $4-a-gallon gasoline?" Bush responded to a reporter who said some analysts expect prices to soon climb that high. "That's interesting. I hadn't heard that. . . . I know it's high now."

1. It's the refineries ...

Dontcha know gas prices are high because of refining capacity and state regulation, not the price of the raw material. It's most certainly NOT because of two way trades carried out by the few companies that actually handle oil and refining.

4. I always love people who say that
And then I point out that, if oil was so expensive to extract, refine, and ship, all the money companies are making would go back into the cost of production. However, quarter after quarter of record profits tells us that its not.

5. Looks like Big Dickus is getting the prices really jacked
before he comes home with a small reduction to convince the daft and disoriented that his junket to Saudi Arabia was a master stroke of negotiating genius.

With this accomplished, John (I'm No Economist) McCain can continue to promote the agenda of pecker heads inc.:puke:
