So if I were going to IILEGALY access a presidential candidates passport file
I think I would access them all just to make sure no one could say I was targeting one specific person

13. Politically-motivated spying. I don't buy the "innocent snooping"--this

is a crime, these people all know it. It was a crime in 1991, and was investigated by a special prosecutor, and safeguards were put in place to prevent it from happening again. And now they want us to believe that people can just wander in as contract employees and satisfy curiosity, and the State Dept. just lets it happen, and the only punishment is getting fired? Bullshit.

9. Figure out WHAT?
That they would go into every existing file on the current frontrunner? Haven't we been saying that this is what they've been trying to cover up? Spying on political opponents? OF COURSE they went into Hillary's file when she was in front. OF COURSE they went into Obama's when HE was in front. If John Edwards had carried a state, they would have been in his, too.

I'm really confused about what you think you're getting at here.

19. that the Bush administration
is incompetent and the head of the State Dept. had resigned and they could probably get away with whatever they want because nothing would ever happen to those that did the snooping-especially if it is politically motivated

And I was the president, I think I would call my FBI or CIA director instead of some low level clerk that didn't have clearance to access the files.

17. Stupid lamers thought that there wouldn't be logs of their activity? What kind of idiot...
professional computer user wouldn't know that everything is logged? Any Linux or BSD or Unix server makes logs of every activity. I've done computer security and I had to review logs everyday. What kind of stupid idiots are they contract hiring and who is supposed to supervise who gets hired? It's no wonder they out source computer worker jobs over seas when they have such incompetent workers here. Sheesh!
