did anyone else just see that on cnn?

He is for it of course but that part was not in the ad.

2. I think their strategy is to pretend they believe it's true then they can pass weak legislstion.
It's easier than denying what everybody now knows.

3. He's a convert on the issue now, and he's been trying to get the
rest of the GOP to wake up to reality along with him (so far; not much luck).

These days I'm almost just as surprised to see a Dem like Pelosi having anything at all to say about it. It's the greatest crisis the human race has ever faced, yet it takes a back seat to farm subsidies and home builder bailouts.

5. Al Gore spoke of these ads on 60 minutes
He is the key person behind them. The idea is that to actually do something it needs to be seen as bi- partisan.

Gingrich debated Kerry on global warming in April 2007 - and he immediately agreed it was real and differed with Kerry only on how to deal with it. (He lost the debate - but then so does everyone else debating Kerry.)
