trained scientists have reported seeing a live dinosaur
Well, folks, the conservatives, apparently upset because Wikipedia has some liberal bias (cuz, you know, facts have a well-known liberal bias), have up and started their very own Wiki source...

http://www.conservapedia.com

Where you can learn that

<snip>

Most scientists believe that dinosaurs lived from 230 million until 65 million years ago and that they are all currently extinct (except for birds, which many scientists consider to be descended from early therapod dinosaurs). They claim the fossil evidence supports their beliefs. However, there are a number of lines of evidence that point to dinosaurs and man coexisting. <2> <3> For example, trained scientists have reported seeing a live dinosaur. <4> A thousand people reported seeing a dinosaur-like monster in two sightings around Sayram Lake in Xinjiang according to the Chinese publication, China Today. <5> An expedition which included, Charles W. Gilmore, Curator of Vertebrate Paleontology with the United States National Museum, examined an ancient pictograph which is claimed to point to dinosaurs and man existing <6><7>

And that...

Age of Metal
From Conservapedia
Jump to: navigation, search
3500 B.C. began with copper tools, then 2500 B.C. superior bronze tools, then 1200 B.C. superior iron tools.

Um, that's the entire article, too. I guess ancient man just refined bronze into steel and called it done.

2. I saw this Sid & Marty Krofft documentary where, Marshall, Will and Holly
went to this "Land of the Lost" for some reason. In this documentary, humans, demons named Chaka and the Sleestacks all co-existed sometime between the Garden of Eden Age and the Iron Age.

And some people wonder if there is a bias against religion. This is good enough reason in my book.

No. 2 is http://www.answersingenesis.org/home/area/faq/dinosaurs.asp
Which has a heading of "Answers in Genesis: Upholding the Authority of the Bible from the very first verse."

No. 3 is http://www.creationontheweb.com/content/view/3061/
From Creation Ministries International and they even have this note: "Ed. note: the author has since retracted his claim about the Illustrated London News report on the living pterosaur, since new evidence shows that it was a hoax." on the piece "Are dinosaurs alive today?"

14. But it's "Fair an' Balanced"!
This is the best page: Examples of Bias in Wikipedia.

"Wikipedia often uses foreign spelling of words, even though most English speaking users are American. Look up "Most Favored Nation" on Wikipedia and it automatically converts the spelling to the British spelling "Most Favoured Nation", even there there are far more American than British users."

This has to be satire.

It's Big Dick and his bunch as they truly are, without the human prosthetic masks and make-up.

18. So what? They have dinosaurs in New Zealand.
The tuatara (Sphenodon punctatus) is often called the last of the dinosaurs. A miniature one, to be sure; but it has survived since the dinosaur age and is more closely allied to them (remembering that "dinosaur" is a term used very loosely) than it is to modern lizards.

33. It's not as closely related to dinosaurs as crocodiles are
The tuatara is the only member of sphenodontidae alive today; but dinosaurs were members of archosauria, as are crocodiles. Both are examples of diapsids, but so are lizards and snakes (squamata).

And then you have the birds to consider.

So the tuatara is definitely not "the last of the dinosaurs"; it's just not a lizard.

27. They don't read comic books...
It's the scientists who did, developing a sense of wonder, and always having to know what happened next, etc.

You should see the "Christian comic books" these people try to put out: bloody awful when they're not unintenional howlers. (Is it too "liberal" of me to use "bloody"?)

30. A conservative encyclopedia anyone can edit?
Sign me up! I think the "Jesus" article could use some details on his homosexual leanings. Let's also add some information about how Jews control the banks and the UN and have the power to psychically command dark-skinned people and then send links to those articles to media outlets. Someone should also try putting in a Fixed Earth article that "debunks" Copernicus and see how long it lasts.

...But it appears this site is being raided already, since each page takes four or so minutes to load.

The instructions talk about clicking 'create account' in the lower left hand corner, but there's nothing there. That might be because they can tell my ISP is in Britain, and they don't want those goddam pinko liberal British spellings infecting their shining city of Conservopedia, of course ...
