Keith referred to himself with Dems as "WE"!1

He and the Gene ROBINSON dude were going around and around about how ministers linked to the two political parties get different media attention, that wingnut ministers tend to get a pass, or their most outrageous stuff is just let to fade off.


And ROBINSON said it was about something about how the Dems screw ups get more attention because Dems insist on MORE HONESTY, or something like that.


Then Keith said, "Not only that, but --------WE--------(clearly referring to Dems)-------need more variety (not the same outrageous dudes saying the same things repeatedly)."


It seemed to be a first. In the past, there appeared to be a consensus here that he would be equally rough on Dems when Dems were in power. Hmmmmm.

He's as tough on his own team as he is on the other. That's what makes him an exceptional journalist.

To be clear, as I have repeated in countless e-mails complaining to various outlets about unfairness to Dems, it is not *favorable* or preferential treatment I was asking for, but a LEVEL PLAYING FIELD.


I mean, Keith has clearly been over the "commentary" line forever, but I never heard the label before.

It's a follow-up to his ominous sign-off with Rachel on election coverage that he had some reliable information that Clintonistas were ready to jump ship...and described the staffer who has signed a book deal and made other plans already for the Fall.

It's a far cry from when Keith first started Countdown...some of us here reached out to us...and some got replies...very cordial but how he was restricted in what he could do...but if we kept supporting him and the show, he would work to bring a different view to the news...and he surely has done that.
