Filed electronically, DD, Here's where your check is
This will burn you up.

Did you do what I did and innocently check that box when you filed electronically that deducted the filing fees from your return?

You're screwed. You're getting a paper check in a month instead.

Check it out:

Q. I chose direct deposit for my 2007 tax refund but also requested my electronic filing and/or tax preparation fees be deducted from my refund. Does that affect my stimulus payment?

A. If you requested that your electronic filing or tax preparation fee be deducted from the amount of your refund, you have entered into a financial agreement with the tax preparation provider or e-file software company for a refund anticipated check (RAC). Both Refund Anticipation Checks (RACs) and Refund Anticipation Loans (RALs) are bank products. The money that is deposited into your bank account comes from the financial institution associated with your electronic filing software provider or tax preparation provider, not directly from the IRS. Taxpayers who use RALs, RACs or enter into similar loans or financial agreements with their tax professional or tax software companies will not receive their economic stimulus payments by direct deposit. Instead they will get a paper check that will be issued according to the schedule that has been published for paper check distribution.

5. lol, they just might
Due to an error in of beacuse of TaxCut in 2006 we underpaid a few dollars. We paid the under + interest and penalties earlier this year. They sent us three or four different amounts to pay within a few days, we paid the last of the statements - turned out that was the wrong one - had too much interest figured in. They then sent us a 9$ refund check. Later, we recieved a cents more in the form of interest...

4. could be worse
we are last in line due to the last 2# of our SS...and I filed mine on line and checked direct deposit ...somewhere between hitting the file key and irs...my checking account number was changed...I printed my return and the # is correct on my printed version...anyway soo the IRS first tries to send the check to the wrong account ..it has to bounce back to them then they cut me a check..that is how my tax refund worked ..i am assuming my stimulus payment will have to go the same route...yippy....

It will be nice to have the money ..but I don't think this is going to do much for the econoomy..maybe delay things just the tiniest bit...even that is hard to imagine ...
