I spent a summer out in the bush in Central African Empire working in a dispensary. At the beginning and end of the trip I got to see parts of what was then called Zaire, Tanzania, Uganda, and a couple of weeks in Nairobi, Kenya. Nothing like West Africa, I'm sure. It was the experience of a lifetime, though.
