Am I paranoid?
Hi...Long time, first time, etc, etc :headbang:

I was just watching KO, and he mentioned a story (cant find the link, sorry) about FOX firing an employee who said "...youre going to win.." to McCain....and she was then told "You arent supposed to reveal that!"

KO took the angle that why are they only firng ONE of their staffers for supporting McCain....but I'm more concerned with the comment "You arent supposed to reveal that!"

maybe I should have a foil hat on but dammit...fool me once...cant get fooled again....it sure sounds to me like somethings up...KWIM? :paranoid:

or did I totally misinterpret what I heard?

1. I thought the fired person said she voted for McCain;
and it's generally considered a private ballot...

My take: the persistent use of fraud by the GOP is why we need a landslide victory. I think they can only tamper up to a certain point.

9. Oh yeah, Hi there and Welcome.
Don't let the fights you see around here get to you. In fact, the best thing to do is ignore them.

Have fun!

20. Fox Mulder, you're a man after my own heart
(swoon)

In college I had a poster that said:

"Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they're not out to get you."

My roommate (a psych major) hated it, but I loved it.

I believe it is truer now than ever.

8. Hi AgentCarrie! Welcome to DU.
(are you any relation to Agent Mike? (:hi: Hi Agent Mike)

I heard that too. I think it was supposed to mean that she was being scolded for declaring her own preference on the air. They still maintain the fiction that they're "fair and balanced" after all.

That said, I can certainly see how you might think otherwise. Just before the '06 election, after all, Rove claimed he had "THE Math... That he was wrong doesn't mean he wasn't working feverishly to fix the outcome.

13. 1st post AND 1st thread?
That's it, the hell with asking agents Scully or Mulder, someone needs to go straight to Skinner with this!

snark aside, I heard that K.O. bit as well. I doubt that FAUX noise has ANYONE insider enough to be privy to knowledge of THAT magnitude! It is quite odd that she got fired for this though...too bad for mCcain, he needs every vote that he can get, it appears that he just lost one. Let us hope that the disillusioned young intern has good judgment to join the big DU! Who knows what stories SHE could tell! Welcome to our little forum neighbor.

17. Last night I found two strange Granite Cookies in one thread
The OP at thirteen posts, (obvious first thread) was promptly TSed as was a responder who had exactly 1 post. Neither had written anything truly disruptive... A mod checked into it and said that both were intentionally TSed but never said why. I suppose I should have inquired but it is funner to speculate....and now, (gasp), this!!! I am pretty sure that aliens from Tralfamadore walk among us...I plan on releasing a full report when I've gathered a bit more proof.

18. Well, with the electronic voting machines.......
McCain could certainly win. We can't figure we'll win in Nov. even if we have the majority of the American people behind us.

There are numerous documented instances about these things not registering votes correctly. A software programmer for one of the manufacturers even stated he was told to program them so the votes could be altered.

This cabal will NOT give up power easily. They will do WHATEVER it takes to maintain it.

23. You really think that because you suspect the GOP of plotting to steal the 2008 election...
... that means you're paranoid?

All that means is that you're sane, informed and paying attention. And correct.

Whatever this Fux Nudes chippie said or meant is completely irrelevant. The GOP will attempt to steal their third straight presidential election. And they'll have a damn good chance of pulling it off.

They know they can't win honestly. Nor can they risk being out of power lest the investigations begin in earnest. So their choices are pretty limited. Fortunately for the GOP, though, they have the usual two aces in the hole

They can always count on the mind-boggling suspension of disbelief from truly naive democratic Pollyannas and numbskulls who apparently can't believe that these lying scum could be such conniving, thieving bastards -- even though nothing they've done for the past eight years suggests that they're anything but conniving, thieving bastards. Oh, and imperialist mass murdering racketeers, too, but that's not the point here.

They can also count on the public remaining blissfully ignorant of the whole rotten scam because their ministry of propaganda -- corporate mass media and its pathetic cheerleading excuses for real journalists -- will continue the three-monkey approach to reportage. And if TV "news" is all the input a person gets, they'll remain as completely ignorant of the facts as are their house cats.

The 2000 version of grand theft election was so obvious that only the pathologically delusional and the usual democratic candy ass cowards could possibly think otherwise.

The 2004 grand theft election (second offense) was a bit more subtle, but not much. Look back through the thoroughly researched articles and books that have been published by, among others, Bobby Kennedy Jr. (Rolling Stone) and Mark Crispin Miller (Fooled Again and other works).

If you still think you're being paranoid, then you too are probably delusional.

If, on the other hand, you find a bit of consolation in knowing the truth, you'll be way better equipped to understand what the bastards are up to and how to get in their way. The words "president John McPain" are so loathsome that I'll do just about anything (legal) to avoid ever having to hear them.

And welcome aboard. Just avoid the words "Cindy Sheehan" and nobody will bite you.

24. Welcome to DU!
It might just be that they're trying to keep up appearances with the whole "fair and balanced" shtick that they play. Besides, if it really were some grand conspiracy, then you would think that they wouldn't terminate the employee as that would just call more attention to it.
