Twilight of the Psychopaths

When Gandhi was asked his opinion of Western civilization he said it would be a good idea. But that oft-cited quote, is misleading, assuming as it does that civilization is an unmitigated blessing.

Civilized people, we are told, live peacefully and cooperatively with their fellows, sharing the necessary labour in order to obtain the leisure to develop arts and sciences. And while that would be a good idea, it is not a good description of what has been going on in the so-called advanced cultures during the past 8,000 years.

Civilization, as we know it, is largely the creation of psychopaths. All civilizations, our own included, have been based on slavery and “warfare.” Incidentally, the latter term is a euphemism for mass murder.

2. The Psychopaths that rule us are going nowhere, and if we try to dislodge them

they will strike back, as they did on 9/11, with swift and murderous force.

This article very likely lays out why humanity is an evolutionary dead-end. This "problem" of ours, is so pervasive and so universal in every walk and stratum of life, that it would seem to be a characteristic of our species.

A species which is apparently going extinct under the "gentle ministrations of the psychopaths that rule us".

And the way they murder those non-psychopaths who get in their way, so easily and often, it seems as if humanity will never be anything but their dogs, with some very small and short-lived exceptions.

Problem is, when the psychoptahs whistle, at least 20% of us (30-40% in Bushie Amerika and Nazi Germany, where the power of psychology, PR and propaganda have been brought into use in ways to swell the numbers of the psychopaths' willing tools) fall right in line.

ALWAYS. And, as I said above, that 20% number is now 30 or 40% thanks to modern scientific tools which gives our psychopaths the equivalent of the atomic bomb for the mind.

Of COURSE the psychopaths are going to drag us down. It's what they do, it's what they live for, it is the core of their being.

Sorry, but we have less than a 2% chance, I think, to get out of it this time.

The psychopaths can see what's coming. Peak Oil and Climate Change and the billions of deaths soon coming are mother's milk to their conscienceless murderer's minds. They KNOW it is going to create a world very soon where life is far far cheaper than it is today, and it's pretty cheap today especially if you are a person of color.

And that is why the Bushies couldn't wait any longer to take over, couldn't wait any longer to set up the infrastructure that will repeat the totalitarian evil psychopaths have been inflicting on the rest of us since the dawn of humanity.

Because they have to be READY when Crunch Time comes. Many will die and it won't be them, of that you can be sure.

So the Bushies are moving fast now, without their previous regard for camoflauge, though they still, relative to others like them in history (Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Ferd Marcos, Papa Doc) are camoflauging and taking it "slow".

And of course, so very little camoflauge is needed, not really much more than Caesar needed to Bushify the Roman Republic.

This artcile nails it. Why the human race is not a viable species in the long-term. This is it. The other 94% of us are incapable of stopping the 6% who are psychopaths (at least that portion of them who have learned to control themselves and blend in with normals) from using us like dogs. Plus the now 30-40% of us who will always WANT to be used like dogs by the psychopaths because it apparently is in their nature, too.

Add in the other 50% who wallow in denial because to do anything other might be uncomortable, unpleasant or God Forbid, they might have to DO SOMETHING besides watch TV and eat Doritos, and you have the recipe for why history repeats itself over and over and over...

Nice article. It is any wonder the human race will be extinct, most likely, with a handful of millenia or perhaps even sooner.

besides couldn't you think it up on your own that wanting as much money and power as these people want is fucking nuts?

Ever asked yourself, "What the fuck would I do with that much money?" I have, and I usually have to come up with a silly answer like "I would build the world's largest water slide!" they have a psychotic need for money at the expense of others, regardless of whether they need it or not.

5. I think it's a cop-out

to blame "psychopaths" for the state of civilization. If it is true that they tend to be the rulers, we are the ones who allow them to rule, so what does that say about the rest of us? It is like women who say that the world would be peachy if only women were in charge, avoiding the fact that men are in charge because women allow them to be. Scape-goating isn't the answer.

In truth, in historical terms we are only an eye-blink away from our hunter-gatherer ancestors. Looked at in that light, I think we are evolving pretty darn fast! The problem right now is that our technology has developed much faster than our social systems, putting us into a state of crisis. Whether we will be able to revise the way we organize our lives in time is the question. If history is any guide, probably not. I fully expect the planetary feedback systems to eliminate most of the race over the next few hundred years. But enough will survive to start again, hopefully having learned the necessary lessons.
