1. Here's a few:
"Dissent is the highest form of patriotism." -Thomas Jefferson

"It is the duty of the patriot to protect his country from the government." -Thomas Paine

"Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the President." -Theodore Roosevelt

"Our loyalty is due entirely to the United States. It is due to the President only and exactly to the degree in which he efficiently serves the United States. It is our duty to support him when he serves the United States well. It is our duty to oppose him when he serves it badly." - Abraham Lincoln

This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or exercise their revolutionary right to overthrow it." - Abraham Lincoln

"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort, and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."
- Dr. Martin Luther King

"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." - Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.

The Matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work... when you go to church... when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.
-- Morpheus

The truth is stranger than fiction, judgey wudgey!
-Curly Howard

Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.
-Aldous Huxley

We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.
-- Benjamin Franklin, July 4, 1776

Hitler said, "The bigger the lie, the more people will believe it." This is because when the lie gets big enough, Faith kicks in and Faith is much more powerful than Reason.
--Rupert T. Liddy Jr., Head Minister of the Department of Faith

"The old advice of John Mitchell, President Richard M. Nixon's attorney general, campaign manager and jailed conspirator in the Watergate crimes, remains valid today: "Watch what we do, not what we say."

“I too applaud Senator Byrd for the Hitler comments. Comparing Bush to Hitler isn't fair to Hitler. Hitler worked his way up, was elected and could talk.”
-- uncahal on smirkingchimp.com forum

"What luck for the rulers that men do not think."
-- Adolph Hitler

"If you tell a lie often enough, and with enough conviction, the people will believe it as truth."
-- Dr. Joseph Goebbels, Nazi propaganda minister

The belt buckles of the German army declared "Gott Mit Uns" ("God is with us.”)

a quote Adolf Hitler, from the early 1930's, in yet another of the startling parallels to the rise and rise of the George W. Bush fascist regime in the USA:
***********************************
"We are winning international respect" - Adolf Hitler
***********************************

“What we have to fight for is the freedom and independence of the fatherland, so that our people may be enabled to fulfill the mission assigned to it by the Creator.”
-- Adolph Hitler 1939

“I have this strong belief that freedom is the Almighty’s gift to every man and woman in this world. And as the greatest power on the face of the Earth, and we have an obligation to help the spread of freedom.”
 G.W. Bush 2005

"Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things. Among them are a few Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or business man from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid." President Dwight D. Eisenhower, 1954
The Papers of Dwight David Eisenhower, Volume XV - The Presidency: The Middle Way
Part VI: Crises Abroad, Party Problems at Home; September 1954 to December 1954
Chapter 13: "A new phase of political experience" )

"The national government will maintain and defend the foundations on which the power of our nation rests. It will offer strong protection to Christianity as the very basis of our collective morality. Today Christians stand at the head of our country. We want to fill our culture again with the Christian spirit. We want to burn out all the recent immoral developments in literature, in the theatre, and in the press ... in short, we want to burn out the poison of immorality which has entered into our whole life and culture as a result of liberal excess during the past few years."

From The Speeches of Adolph Hitler, 1922-1939, Vol. 1, pg. 871-872
(London, Oxford University Press, 1942.)

And of course, you could always steal my sigline.

2. Damn, that's an impressive list
I'm going to avoid any having to do with Hitler because of Godwin's Law, though the similarities between these last few years and 1930's Germany are in fact, quite compelling. But having Hitler in one's sig line stops all rational discussion. Strange that. However, I do think I will find one here.

Thanks muchly.

There is one that I remember vaguely about how standing by while evil happens makes one as guilty as those who commit the evil but I can't remember enough of it to research it. Does that ring a bell, perhaps?

3. Sorry.
The primary squashed most of my brain cells. I now need sticky notes to remember to eat and wash.

4. I changed mine this morning,
as a show of support for DK's efforts, and as a tongue-in-cheek "screw you" to a few who suggested that his supporters "worship" him.
