Most pro golfers are Repukes who like their tax cuts. But this was no coincidence: Rocco Mediate is a genuine human being and a bright guy who KNEW exactly what he was saying.

He was saying, Hello DU, and the rest of us who hate this war. Kick this if you appreciate what Rocco did in the final round of the U.S. Open.

Extraordinary.

4. And look what it got him
absolutely nothing.

He was about a tenth of an inch from greatness.

Bye-bye.

5. People will root for Mediate as the underdog
and others for Tiger, because he is a legend. Both are good guys and I hope it is entertaining.

8. LOL...I saw that late in the round and was amazed
I told my husband, "look!...is he wearing a peace sign!?" and he replied, "no, he stole that off of Tiger's Mercedes."

I would LOVE to see Rocco win this one...it'll probably be his last chance to win a major considering his age. I would also LOVE to see Tiger win and get within 3 of matching Nicholas' record. Ironically, after yesterday's round, the announcers were saying Rocco was hoping to be paired up with Tiger for the final round...looks like he'll get his wish after all. I know I'll be rooting for both of them.

19. I know who Davis Love is rooting for, and it's not the guy with the peace sign
Edited on Mon Jun-16-08 08:27 AM by Alpharetta
Davis Love thinks President Bush wants gallery members to never joke "No Love" after he makes a bad shot. Seriously. I saw this on TV and he hit a bad shot and when a fan said "No Love" (translated, it means "darn, not a good result") he had the fan ejected.

Asked about it later, Love said the harrassment is a "sign of society" and the lack of all the "things President Bush is trying to restore."

20. Yeah, Davis Love III is a thorough and unrepentant Bush lover.
He's just about the worst on the tour, and that's saying a whole hell of a lot, given that these guys are about as right wing as you can get.
