articles on Searches that don't link me to Business sites who are paying to "push their 'keywords' forward" on Google.
(I hesitate to say this...for fear of being called a "conspiracy theorist"), but it started after first FISA VOTE in HOUSE and now continued when SENATE voted for FISA with IMMUNITY. I know this has nothing to do with "Telecom Immunity" ...hopefully Google wouldn't be involved in that....but WAIT! How does GOOGLE get folks to hit on them...? DUH OH! WE ALL NEED TO CONNECT to GOOGLE THROUGH TELEPHONE, SATELLITE or WIRELESS! Who OWNS ALL THOSE???
It's dreadful. I do research looking for "lesser articles" about companies who have lawsuits, scandal or other things...and I'm cut out of being able to get the great GOOGLE articles lined to newspapers about this. I also do Bio-Medical research and was able to look up Research Articles at Universities and get Bio's of Professors and Key Players in Bio Companies. Now all I get is links to advertising for their Website or other Companies looking to make big "upticks" on the Stock Market.
Google has SOLD OUT...and why it all happened with "Telecom Bill and FISA...I don't know" but that's when I saw a clampdown. Call me :tinfoilhat: if you want to ...but I can't do the research I used to be able to do on the net. And, GOOGLE cut off my other avenues awhile back like MetaCrawler and Yahoo and some other obscure sites I used to get a lot of info from that I could pass on to my employer..who hires me as a "freelancer."
It's BAD! Really Bad... and a personal site I always visited (spiritual US site about Metaphysics)got corrupted and now points me to a Korean Site that wants to keep asking me to "translate" which means it's sending me a virus. This site has been in operation for years and I wouldn't have needed to do GOOGLE to find it if I hadn't had a Firefox Problem with a power outage where I lost all my Bookmarks. The site has been hacked and it's so small it doesn't even know that it is being redirected by "Google Search" to some Korean Hacker site.
