9. I remember in 2004 that the media tried to equate
Kerry correctly getting off a bike when a tire blew as he was riding and then returning to where he was in the van to when Bush fell off his bike and bruised his face. (They even pointed out Bush kept riding.)

12. George would SO ride in this
Except the organizers won't guarantee that nobody will pass the First Brat. See, not everyone would be on board with that spoiled little rule like Lance Armstrong was.

13. Not to mention - he could hurt others as he has this tendancy to fall off the bike.

8. Here's a nice little article with a great photo

that seems like it was taken at the end of the race. From the photo the 110 miles were less "rough" than Bush's ride. He really is pretty amazing. http://www.capecodonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080802/NEWS11/80802007

This race and 2 brilliant speeches in one week:
- One on foreign policy and the other on interfaith relations, that 2 people I know both liked - one areligious studies major, concentrating in world religions and the other a person who prefers that religion and state be as seperate as possible.

foreign policy - http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=6570288&mesg_id=6570288

religion - http://www.boston.com/news/local/articles_of_faith/2008/07/kerry_to_addres.html
