(BISMARCK, N.D.) --- U.S. Senator Byron Dorgan, a senior member of the Senate Energy Committee, said Tuesday he is pushing Congress to take four immediate steps to bring down oil and gas prices and move our country in a new direction to make us less dependent on foreign oil in the future.

The four steps in Dorgan’s plan to put immediate downward pressure on gas prices and move toward energy independence are:

1. Broad based plan, there. There is quite a bit of drilling/exploration going on in ND

as we speak. My husband is up there right now, doing well site geology; this is his third well for this company.

I like the combination of targets: the speculators, opening some new areas, a little out of the SOR and mostly the alternatives.

Don't even care if Dorgan is R or D on this one.

I want exploration, for purely selfish reasons. Keeps Mr YDIT employed, doing work he absolutely loves.
I want alternatives because it is the best thing to do.
I want speculation to end because it hurts the little guy
the bit out of the SOR is just a drop in the bucket and we can replace the light sweet with the heavy quite easily
