Is the FBI on the ground in Georgia?
I was watching this video http://www.reuters.com/news/video?videoId=88716 posted in this thread http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x6616828.

I noticed a guy wearing a t-shirt that says FBI in big letters on the back. What exactly is out involvement in Georgia?

1. I don't remember Agent Mulder doing international work.
I thought that the FBI was supposed to protect the U.S. in peace and war, not the rest of the world.

2. Oh, hell...........
if there is a war or conflict anywhere in the world, the US will be there...especially if there's oil involved.

4. The FBI has been there for years, training police.
They investigated the death of the Georgian PM in '05:

Georgia: F.B.I Rules Premier's Death Was Accidental

By SOPHIA KISHKOVSKY (NYT)
Published: February 12, 2005

The F.B.I. said that a team of five agents in the country to help investigate the death of Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania found no evidence of foul play and agreed with Georgian officials that the cause was accidental. Mr. Zhvania, 41, was found dead on Feb. 3. Officials had said it was very likely that he was killed by carbon monoxide fumes from a heater, but rumors of a plot swirled. Sophia Kishkovsky (NYT)
