Major neocon Bill Kristol on Fox News Sunday
Edited on Sun Aug-10-08 06:23 PM by hiaasenrocks
...discussing the Russia-Georgia conflict said that "it would set a terrible precedent for a country to go across another country's borders with massive force."

Uh, hello? Kristol and the neocons thought this was a very good idea when the US went across Iraq's borders with massive force.

I am glad I only saw about 5 minutes of that interview. I couldn't have handled much more. These people will say anything.

(disclaimer: I've seen people respond to threads like this with "Why were you watching Fox?!?!" My answer: "I'll watch what I want, you watch what you want, and we can leave it at that, you McCarthyite. :) )

3. American exceptionalism.

Guys like Kristol say these kinds of things all the time. They think that the USA is exempt from all their own rules, just as the president is exempt from the law. They live in a 'might makes right' world. They aren't trying to be good neighbors-- they're trying to be schoolyard bullies. They operate under the assumption that they're supposed to dominate everything.

4. It is a proven fact that watching faux nooze
can and does shrink your irony gland. Most faux watchers would never even blink at the massive disconnect of the kristol comment. They just sit there, nod their heads and go uh huh.
