Subject: Numerous And Sundry Things

I have been watching the trailers for the interviews with the four Iraqi vets....before and after C-span...this week! I have no idea really what they are going to say...but, one, I picked up on right away... he starts with, "Some people seem to forget those planes flying into the WTC", Well...not really, guy. We all remember Sept.11th...the way that republican congressman reminds us after every single speech he makes ... 'And may we never forget Sept. 11th.' ... It is so tiresome ... but, I really wonder who is going to remind him in this interview, that Iraq had nothing to do with that. When I do that...they will say, "Oh, yeah, but... " It fades after 'but' so, you never really know if they are even thinking or knowing. I remember when a good relative tried to discuss with me, the Sept.11th situation...and cried real tears, and I said, "Please do not tell me that you think the Iraqis did that"! And he said, "Well, no not directly!" Then faded...he had told me previously, that President Clinton should have been hung in the White House for what he did!! So much for the stupidity of the hard right!!

My granddaughter, who is 24, who is in Kosovo now, but, spent almost a year in Iraq...in 2003, during 'light up the sky...crash and burn...kill and kill some more...Shock and Awe!"...as Rummy put it, "You ain't seen nothing yet"... one of the times, I was sort of ashamed to be a part of this human race. Well ...

She is getting married...to a man in her unit now...when? On Sept. 11th.... Where? On the steps of Soldiers Memorial!! You don't dare say anything in that family...or you would be disowned...and marginalized. (I can sympathize with Cindy Sheehan...and Mary Tillman...sadly!!!)

Should we set off fireworks? How many of you out there would like to celebrate Sept. 11th as your wedding anniversary...I thought not!

Sympathy cards are welcome...

Shirley ... St. Louis

2. Sounds like a winner to me (sarcasm)!!
Celebrate the happiest day of my life, on the anniversary of thousands of people who were killed because, we have a prezident who is looking out only for his best interests.

I feel for you and your grand daughter.
