How McCane Lost the Race Last nite...He trapped himself with a single issue card
He now has to pick a pro life veep. Guilty of going to the Well once too often....that don't work...not in todays Over population awareness climate....Those Single Issue Wells are DRY and they don't know it....Shame on them for being so stubborn..

But, there are more Reasons....

He is not well read...suffers from information under load...is not aware of even basics to get this Planet on an even keel

you can see it in his rhetoric...empty language ....trait of a BULLY who gets his way and only HIS way. He is telling us what WE WANT TO HEAR....preaching to the choir mentality....absense of ORIGINALITY....uses a second rate Crew to give those all important words to "Turn this thing AROUND NOW....*&$%^&^$#!!

He does not qualy for Leadership 101 never mind 202.01

We must get the word out...all this crap about abortion etc is not the way to choose a Leader....

The Criteria should be, must be, who is BEST OVERALL to take up the many challenges facing not only the USA but that of the Human Race....so far...McClone focuses on Band aid crap...sounds good until we see the inadequate results...drill? drill for what...there is very little oil in the USA left compared to proven reserves elsewhere

Its so easy to say we should combine alternative energy sources described by him....is that profound? No...its a no brainer...we all have been saying it for months if not years

McSame is a dunce....his team is crooked as hell...they use Deception willingly and intentionally...violating the Family Values Code of following GODs Law...do not LIE

We want a Leader who LIES to us? Didn't we have Bush do that to us and we want more??? OMG

1. I don't think enough people were watching last night
it basically was a show of and for fundies and they were probably the only ones who tuned in for the most part. Most others were watching the Olympics or people like me watching the Packers.

24. I think your point is excellent.
And it really doesn't matter which venue he uses to publicize his anti-choice stance, as long as it's a public one, and as long as we have the video. He is now wearing it like an albatross dangling from a coat hanger around his neck. (Damn. I like that image.)

29. The media won't hold him to it ...
Frankly, among everything else on Saturday, what he was guilty of was going overboard in pandering to the crowd at hand, a crowd that has EXTREME right wing views ...

His clear and unequivicable position on abortion was one of about A HALF DOZEN other single voter issues he staked a VERY clear flag into the extreme right wing dogma ...

But, he could get carried away and do because the media is NEVER going to hold him to it ... His meme is set, the MAVRICK, which means what he says that can hurt him is laughed off as him just shooting to the hip, and the image of him as being a complete independant is not to be challanged in any way ...

3. I'm guessing most of the people who are voting for McCain would
be just fine with an anti-choice VP, so not sure it'll make much of a difference.

5. We dont need a trigger happy cowboy
in the white house...been there done that, with his empty promise of tracking Osama to the gates of hell...and he should know where the gates of hell are, because he personally helped God forge them...but we have heard these empty promises before, remember clearly the "dead or alive" bull shit lie.

Every time he opened his mouth it was McSame. He will be a good grunt for the NeoCons, following every order. Saying the exact same shit we have heard over and over again. Will the Fundies believe him? I donno...but they may hold their nose and vote for him, especially if he tells them exactly what they want to hear....ALITO CLONE on the Supreme Court.

10. To me, the abortion issue is LOSE/LOSE FOR THE GOP
Can we stop letting them put all this phony emphasis on "partial" this and that and get to the point -- THEY WANT TO TAKE AWAY ALL ABORTION RIGHTS FOR AMERICAN WOMEN, AT EVERY STAGE OF PREGNANCY!!! Even the morning after pill would be banned if the people he is pandering to had their way.

Do most Americans want our SAUDI ARABIA-STYLE ABORTION RIGHTS IN THE USA?? I think not!

11. While I think you're not necessarily right about the VP thing, I agree 100% with your
comments about overpopulation.

The discussion about overpopulation has been wiped off the roster by the Reich wing and the Catholic Church and, I hate to say it, but the Dems have been complicit. When was the last time any Democratic Leader has talked about curbing population growth--here or anywhere in the world. Yes, I realize that Clinton supported contraception and efforts to control population in other countries, but I'm talking about making this AN ISSUE IN AMERICAN POLITICS.

It's so freaking obvious that we are eating and manufacturing ourselves out of house and home that I cannot believe this topic has been buried.

Everything you read about our food supply and water supply is apocalyptic. Seriously. Running out of oil is going to be a bitch, but running out of food and water is way, way worse.

I'd like to hear Obama say something about getting a handle on population growth but he seems to be more interested in winning the votes of the so-called pro-lifers than making anyone more aware of our precarious position vis-a-vis the planet's carrying capacity.

Ok. Thanks for listening.

And THANK YOU for totally making my day! I'm sure you know how often it is we hear someone speak like you just did. Most just don't seem to get it. Well I do. And I really appreciate hearing out of someone's mouth besides mine.

I recommended this thread for just this reason alone. Not to mention how McCain really drilled home how much he is like Bush. "I'll hunt down Bin Laden" McCain.

Edit- By the way, I didn't make myself clear. I'm talking about the subject of population. But you probably figured that out.

I hope he talks about it all day, every day. It would be fascinating to see him unfold into an anti-choice zealot. That'd be terrific.
