1. Yep... that oil line makes all the difference...
And all the conflicting information is par for the course.

It's hard to know for sure, but my take is that the US told Georgia that we'd back them up, and they went all "neener neener" on Russia's ass about it, got in their face (first action) and now we're calling Russia the bad guy.

I think the whole thing stinks... like crude oil.

Timing is right for that. Probably oil is involved too, but just as much money to be made for Carlyle Group with the missile shield.

5. Good point.
That and fodder for the election. Although I think if that's the case, the republicans overestimate voter's willingness to go to war with Russia, or start the cold war all over again.
