Why is the DNC dissing Al Franken?
http://blogs.westword.com/demver/2008/08/why_is_the_dnc_dissing_al_fran.php#more

Recently announced Democratic National Convention speakers such as Jimmy Carter, Tom Daschle and Patrick Leahy share at least one characteristic in common: They're not very funny. Meanwhile, someone who has coaxed a laugh or two in his day, and who's planning to be in Denver for the DNC -- Minnesota senatorial candidate Al Franken -- hasn't been offered any podium time.

4. Not even during the daytime?
I know they have to focus on their big political names
for primetime coverage, but geez, they have hours and hours
to fill during the day -- couldn't they find one for "me,
Al Franken"???

8. They don't have enough time for everyone I guess...
But I do wish they'd find a way to fit Franken in. He's a hoot and I hope he sends Coleman packing!

11. Eh, I'm disappointed but they may not be dissing him
Perhaps they don't have enough time, or whatever reason. But there are democrats who are dissing him for real. I keep seeing this ad on TV from another democrat that disses the holy hell out of Al Franken. But, I'm not ready to say that the DNC is blatantly dissing him unless they've stated why they wont let him speak.

12. I wish Al was covering the convention again..
but he really can't be that Al at this convention. He has to be candidate Al here. I have a feeling he'll be getting a lot of camera time at other venues during the convention and during the convention.

Man he'd make a great Senator. He really does have a great grasp of politics and history.
