2. Agreed
And I wish he'd been a little farther back in Prime Time. He's saying everything we say here.

Now will his imploring the eejits on the Right who vote against their best interests get them to Wake Up!

4. He's A Better Advocate
Presidents have to compromise...Dennis can't and doesn't do that. I appreciate his value in the House...and see him being the conscience that we definitely will need if Democrats succede in controlling the legislative and executive.

9. It's What Screwed This Country Up The Past 8 Years
For 6 of 'em booooshie had a rubber stamp...refusing to compromise and see what it got us. I don't want another rubber stamp...I want a balance of power and a far more inclusive, not exclusive government.

Politics is the art of compromise and anyone who fails to understand that will always be frustrated. And compromise doesn't mean capitulation...that's what the DLC specialized in.

14. NO. "Compromise" is when both sides get something.
What the DLC/BlueDogs/NewDems do is NOT "compromise".

The proper term would be "Sell Out".

13. Damn the DLC!
Their enabling is what has allowed the cabal to screw up our government.

6. Hell, if only Dennis were given a prime time speaking slot :(
I don't see how anybody could feel resistant to a single one of his points. I can't see why anybody would feel compelled to suppress and downplay and dismiss these points he's making. I just don't see it. Unless of course you're one of the robber barons...

11. Welcome to DU! Yeah, those are some pretty major fiends.
I keep wanting to say "Act Like a DEMOCRAT, Dammit!" I mean a REAL Democrat. Not the one of the last 30 years - flabby, fearful, spineless, easily rolled. A REAL Democrat. A Fighting Dem. One who does not capitulate. And one who's not afraid to throw a few punches.

10. Wake Up America!
What a speech! Dennis was my preferred candidate.
Tonight he set the convention on fire. Indeed,
the Conscience of the House.

18. If only uninformed fools like you would be silent and perserve the mystery of doubt
as to your status of such, instead of opening your mouth and irritating the rest of us by removing said doubt.

Shoo.

I don't agree with Dennis on everything -- but he is one of Washington's last honest men.

19. Hope and change for the better in abundance.
I think, at this point in time, our nation is not evolved enough to elect him.

And I'm sorrier than I can say about that.
