Tee hee! A CSpan called ask it if was true that McCrusty has been diagnosed
with Alzheimer's Disease.

The moderator didn't know what to say so he just said that it wasn't true "as far as he knew!"

3. I just heard that. LOL
Same host that discounted Ohio vote rigging out of hand the day after. "Will we be hearing about that for the next four years?"

Karma.

5. Aww, that's sad.
Not all old people have Alzheimer's.

Also, it is my understanding that POWs cannot get Alzheimer's.

Is this not valid any longer?

10. POWs can't get Alzheimers?
Everything I've read leads me to believe that people who've suffered great stress in their lives are much more vulnerable to Alzheimer's than those who've lived less stressful lives. I think nuns are notable for a low instance of Alzheimer's, at least those who work at keeping their minds agile.

I truly worry about McCain's senility entirely aside from the massive policy objections I have to him.

11. Excuse me, but I think you misread my post ...
... I said, "John McCain was a POW. POWs cannot get Alzheimer's, therefore John McCain was a POW."

Is that clearer now?

22. I think I'm beginning to fall in love with you!
You keep showing up at such random times, reminding us that McCain was, in fact, a POW. I really don't think we would remember that without you. LOL.

On a more serious note, those who were POWs in that time (and let us not forget that John McCain was a POW) were systematically starved, tortured, not allowed to sleep comfortably, exposed to many tropical diseases, etc. The legacy of that is that they are dying young and/or their minds are going. It's a pretty normal thing to happen to people whose immune systems were stressed in such extraordinary ways. Yes, McCain is showing signs of Alzheimers or just plain dementia. I would be surprised if he weren't. That said, I respectfully believe that it wouldn't be good for him or the country he served, for him to become President now with these deficits becoming so obvious. He deserves a relaxed retirement, starting now.

12. " "Some people say" McCain is suffering from dementia." Fascinating.
I believe we may need one of those "refute the rumor" polls like those Rush Limbaugh is a junkie pedophile ones I remember seeing a while back.

24. Okay, I'm one of those people
I cannot say definitively that he has Alzheimers but what I can say is that I'm seeing mental deficits arising that indicate dementia is beginning to manifest itself. What the underlying cause of that dementia is, I can't say. I'm an RN trained at the School of Frist, so that I'm highly skilled at video diagnostics.

21. Impossible. We know that he has not forgotten that he spent 5 1/2 years in the Hanoi Hilton.
As long as he can remember that, he's qualified to be president.
